Each of our Instructors are qualified individuals with years of experience of firearms education and testing. Each member is qualified through Alberta Hunter Education Instructors association and certified by the Chief Firearms Officer to instruct the firearms safety courses and/or challenge the exams.
The Canadian Firearms Safety Course is an introductory firearms course for individual novice firearms users in both Non-restricted firearms and Restricted firearms. Individuals who wish to aquire Non-restricted firearms must take the firearms safety course and/or pass the tests. Individuals wishing to aquire Restricted firearms must take both the Canadian Firearms Safety course and the Restricted firearms course and/or pass both tests.
The Canadian Firearms Safety course consists of classroom instruction along with the manual and practical hands on experience with deactivated firearms and dummy ammunition. A written test and a practical test is presented at the end of the course. A copy of your test reports and an application are then awarded.
Calgary Firearms Training are experts in group settings throughout central and southern Alberta for a number of organizations, such as Border Patrol, Forestry, Armored Car, RCMP and Police forces, Gun Clubs, Oil & Exploration groups, Cadet & Scout groups, Hunting groups, Womens groups & Youth groups.
